Project Details
A combination system of Denso Protal 7300™ and Visctotaq™ Viscowrap™ ST were recently selected to protect several soil-to-air transitions on an above ground installation (AGI) fuel line.
After the 3LPE system was stripped back on the AGI pipe, the Distributor, Parker James Protective Coatings Ltd, recommended that two coats of Protal 7300 should be applied against the newly bared, and prepared steel. Viscowrap ST and PVC Outerwrap were recommended and applied across the join of the Protal 7300 and the remaining freshly abraded 3LPE. Viscowrap ST was easily applied with a 10mm overlap and minimal tension. The system was completed with Denso™ PVC Self-Adhesive Tape for extra mechanical protection and to further improve the self-healing properties of the underlying Viscotaq ST.
