Steelcoat 100/400 Combination System

A combination of two Denso Steelcoat systems to give extra protection in difficult areas such as badly pitted and rusted pipe/steelwork and damp sweating pipe/steelwork.

The combined Steelcoat 100/400 System is now widely specified for difficult applications because it brings all of the strengths of both Steelcoat systems together so well. The combined system comes in two variations A and B.

Denso Steelcoat 100/400(A) System: For badly pitted and rusted pipework and structural steelwork.

For pipework, Steelcoat 100/400(A) System comprises Denso Hi-Tack Primer [Denso Paste outside the UK] followed by a double wrap (55% overlap) of Denso Hi-Tack Tape [Denso Tape or Densyl Tape, outside the UK]. The outer Denso Ultraseal Tape (or Denso Ultraseal RT) is also applied with a 55% overlap before painting.

For steelwork, the Steelcoat 100/400(A) System is applied as above with both tapes featuring a minimum 55% overlap before painting.

Once applied the fabric backed Denso Ultraseal Tape (or Denso Ultraseal RT) is overpainted with two coats of Denso Acrylic Topcoat.

Denso Steelcoat 100/400(B) System: For damp/sweating pipework surfaces.

As above ‘For pipework’ with Denso Paste S105 replacing the Denso Hi-Tack Primer [Denso Paste outside the UK].
