Denso Tape™ is a cold-applied anti-corrosion and sealing tape based on a synthetic fabric, impregnated and coated with a neutral petrolatum compound. Versatile, easy to use, surface tolerant and long-lasting, it can be used as an effective solution to a multitude of corrosion prevention problems on steel pipework and fittings.
Denso Tape™ is a component of Denso’s recommended system for P1 specifications covering the protection of ferrous pipes, joints and fittings within the water industry.
Densyl™ Tape is available for Tropical Climates and a Fire Retardant grade – Densyl™ KF Tape is also available.

Can Denso Tape be applied on to a already corroded pipe?
Denso Tape is surface tolerant. We ask that the surface is prepared to St2, any loose rust or coating is removed. For pitted sections prime the area with Denso Paste.
Can Denso Tape be left exposed?
Denso Tape can be left exposed however we provide a range of protective outwerwraps for increased mechanical and UV protection. For example our Steelcoat™ Systems often use an Ultraseal Tape with a UV stable Acrylic Topcoat.
Are you able to inspect the fitting after application?
The systems are non-setting, allowing an easy inspection. After inspection the system shall be reinstated by wrapping additional tape over the inspected area.
Is the Denso Tape suitable for climates with elevated ambient temperatures?
Winn & Coales manufacture different grades of Petrolatum based anti-corrosion tape. For example Denso Tape is our temperate grade petrolatum based anti-corrosion tape. Whereas Densyl™ Tape is our tropical grade petrolatum based anti-corrosion tape, which has been specially formulated to perform in hotter climates, such as in the Middle East.
