Project Details
PETRONAS Chemicals Methanol Sdn Bhd, selected the SteelcoatTM Tank Base Protection System for the protection of the bases of 3 x 15.6m diameter storage tanks. The tanks had been protected by a previous protection system, supplied by another company, which had reached the end of its life. This existing system was removed, as well as an asphalt profile which had been placed around the bottom of the tank, prior to the application of the Steelcoat Tank Base Protection System.
Due to the COVID19 pandemic, it was not possible for Denso representatives to attend site to provide training. Instead, training was provided remotely via video link. The application of the Steelcoat Tank Base Protection System was still completed successfully which is seen as a testament to its simplicity of application.
Petronas Chemicals Methanol Sdn Bhd were very happy with the Steelcoat Tank Base Protection System and are planning to apply it to other storage tanks in future.
